Musical Director Duputy - Position Vacant
We are always looking for new players who would like to join the band. Both experienced and novice players are invited to contact us.
At the moment we are short of:
Cornet, Bass, Trombone players and Percussionists
As well as the positions above we are always looking for any other new players who would like to join us, both experienced and novice players are invited
to contact us, why not come along to a practice evening to see what we have to offer you. If you wish to find out more you are very welcome to come
and meet us at rehearsals on Thursday evenings between 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm.
We also have a Training Band that meets at 6.45 pm on Wednesdays.
This is mainly but not exclusively for youngsters and instruments are available for loan.
For many years a training band, has been run by Brian Doy. Recently, Brian has extended his voluntary tuition work into local primary schools. So far,
three village schools, at Hilgay, Denver and Ten Mile Bank have been visited on a regular basis, and the band sees Brian's work as a two way-project,
giving local children a general interest in music and injecting occasional new blood into the main band. Hilgay Silver Band welcomes new members of all

Hilgay is a village in southwest Norfolk, about 15 miles south of King's Lynn and 14 miles north of Ely.
The nearest town is Downham Market, 5 miles to the north.
